My Advisory Philosophy
A successful advisory relationship requires honesty in both directions. I need to be able to be direct, and the founder needs to push back when they disagree. My focus is the intersection of product and engineering. Most teams treat them as separate functions, and that’s where things break down. I look at how a team designs, builds, and ships together, and work to tighten those loops. That means getting into the real work: architecture decisions, team structure, workflows, tooling. I’m not interested in being a name on an advisory page. I care about whether the team is building better products by the time I leave. The integrity of the process matters as much as the output.
