Advisory credits are built for these use cases. You purchase credits, apply them to sessions or defined project work with matched expert operators, and that's the end of the transaction. What advisory credits can be applied to
Credits can be used for three types of engagements. Single advisory sessions: a structured 60-minute session with a matched expert operator focused on a specific question or decision – same structure as the Access tier session, single occurrence. Expert opinions: a shorter async engagement where you submit a document, deck, or decision memo and receive structured written feedback from an expert operator with relevant track record – useful for situations where you want a review rather than a live conversation. Project credits: a block of credit applied to a defined project scope, similar to the Sprint product but more flexible in duration and deliverable definition. The matching process for credit-based engagements is expedited – typically 5–7 business days for a single session match, faster for expert operators you've worked with before.
How credits work and how they're priced
Advisory credits are purchased in blocks. Each credit covers a defined unit of expert operator engagement – a session, an expert opinion review, or a project hour block. Credits do not expire within the purchase year. Pricing per credit is higher than the equivalent session cost under a subscription, reflecting the no-commitment structure – the same tradeoff as any pay-as-you-go versus subscription model. Members who use credits regularly and find themselves scheduling sessions most months are typically better served by the Access tier; the Forward Achieve team will surface that comparison when it's relevant.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a minimum contract length?
Advisory engagements are month-to-month with a 30-day notice period to adjust or pause. Scoped projects (30 or 60-day deliverable-based engagements) have defined start and end dates. There are no annual minimums for advisory structures.
Are there any placement or introduction fees?
No placement fees, no finder's fees, no introduction fees. Forward Share Ventures' model is engagement-based – you pay for the engagement, not the transaction of finding the right expert operator.
Can I upgrade or downgrade between tiers?
Yes. Tier changes take effect at the next monthly billing cycle with 15-day notice. Upgrading mid-cycle is available at a prorated rate. If circumstances change – a fundraise closes, a team joins, a function gap resolves – the engagement can be reconfigured without penalty.
How are expert operators compensated?
Expert operators receive a direct portion of the engagement fee – the structure is transparent to both parties. There's no equity component in advisory engagements unless specifically arranged as part of a separately negotiated advisor relationship outside the Forward Share Network fee structure.
What's the cancellation policy?
Advisory structures require 30-day written notice to cancel or pause. Scoped project fees are non-refundable after the scoping session, as the expert operator has allocated their availability to your engagement window. Sprint engagements that are canceled before the halfway point may be eligible for a partial credit toward a future engagement.
