Build Your Board →Achieve Founding is the full advisory board product: 2–3 STAR-vetted operators matched across your functions, bi-weekly sessions, intro network activation, and priority matching. Designed for growth-stage founders and leaders who need a real board, not a single advisor.
What a full advisory board actually requires to work
An advisory board that works is not three people who agreed to advise you. It's three people with complementary functional depth, matched to the specific stage and challenges your company is navigating, operating on a cadence frequent enough to stay current with what you're dealing with, and structured to give input on real decisions – not retrospective wisdom on situations that have already resolved. The Founding tier is built around that definition. Each operator on your board is matched independently to a specific function – you're not getting three generalists, you're getting a GTM operator, a product operator, and a people/org operator (or whatever combination maps to your actual gaps). They operate separately and together; they don't replicate each other's input.
What's included in the Founding tier
The Founding tier includes two to three operators matched across your priority functions, bi-weekly structured sessions (twice the cadence of Access), async Q&A between sessions with all board members, priority matching – your intake goes to the top of the matching queue and you receive operator candidates within 7 business days – and intro network activation. Network activation means your operators are actively looking for introductions that are relevant to your current stage and challenges, not waiting for you to ask. Board members receive your profile and stage context during the matching process and identify intro opportunities as part of their onboarding. This is a structural difference from Access, where intro activation is reactive.
Who Founding is designed for
Growth-stage founders who have resolved the "do I need advisors" question and are now asking "how do I build a board that actually helps." Founders post-Series A who have the capital to invest in structured advisory and need operators who've been through the scale-up phase. Operators in transition – new VP or C-suite roles – who want a personal advisory board across multiple functions rather than a single mentor. The Founding tier requires a three-month minimum to allow the multi-member board structure time to mature. One-month advisory relationships produce diminishing returns at this depth of engagement.
Frequently asked questions
What's the pricing for the Founding tier?
Founding tier pricing is based on the number of operators (two or three) and session cadence configuration. Contact the Forward Achieve team for current pricing – it's disclosed in the initial conversation. The three-month minimum commitment applies. Members who start on Access and upgrade to Founding carry their existing operator relationship into the board at no additional matching cost.
How are the 2–3 operators selected across functions?
The intake process for Founding asks you to rank your top two or three functional priorities for the next 12 months. The matching team uses that priority stack to identify operator candidates from the 214-person STAR-vetted pool. You review a shortlist of two to three candidates per function, with STAR case studies, and confirm each match. The matching runs in parallel across functions – all three operators are identified simultaneously, so the 7-day priority matching window covers the full board, not each member sequentially. You review all three profiles in the same shortlist window before confirming.
What does "intro network activation" mean specifically?
During onboarding, each operator receives your current stage context and a list of three to five types of introductions that would be most valuable – investor warm intros, specific functional hires, strategic partners, customer connections. Operators flag potential intros from their network as they come up and route them through the Forward Achieve platform – not ad hoc, but as a structured part of their monthly engagement. The difference from Access is that Founding operators are actively scanning their networks on your behalf; in Access, introductions happen when you think to ask for them.
Can I replace a board member if the relationship isn't working?
Yes. Individual board members can be replaced without replacing the full board. The rematch process for a Founding board member runs on the same 7-day priority timeline as the initial match. The other board members remain in place during the transition. If two of three operators on your board aren't working, the Forward Achieve team will diagnose whether the issue is matching methodology or scope definition before running the rematch – to avoid repeating the same mismatch.
